Jasper Skytram

The Jasper SkyTram whisks you up Whistler’s Mountain to an elevation of 2,277 metres (7,472 feet), showing you stunning vistas over mountain ranges stretching up to 80 kilometres away. On a clear day, you can even see the white pyramid of Mount Robson in nearby British Columbia. Interpretive exhibits explain the high alpine environment, and a hiking trail leads you to the summit of the mountain. Gift shops and licensed dining facilities are also available.

Your adventure begins at the Lower Station (elev. 1304 metres), where you will board one of our fully enclosed trams and lift off on the flight of a lifetime.

During your seven minute flight aboard the Jasper SkyTram, you will be accompanied by one of our fully trained and knowledgeable flight attendants who will point out the many sights and answer your questions.

As your tram gently touches down at an elevation of 2277 metres, step out into our safe Upper Station and prepare for a whole new perspective on the Canadian Rockies

Blast off with astronomy experts from The Jasper Planetarium for an exclusive dining and stargazing experience atop the Jasper Skytram. Your skytram flight will take you nearly 1 km closer to the stars above, to the Skytram Upper Station, where you'll have the chance to look through the most powerful telescopes in the Canadian Rockies, under the darkest skies in the Rockies. 

Join a guided tour of the Solar System, learning about planets, galaxies, and constellations, and if you're lucky, you might even see a meteor or the Northern Lights!* You'll also have a chance to attend a special talk on Canada's dark skies or a quick workshop about how to photograph objects in the night sky with your DSLR camera.

*Weather-permitting. In the event the skies are clouded-over, an extended indoor portion will take place at the Upper Skytram Station and we'll have the chance to explore the Athabasca River Valley (including the town of Jasper) through our telescopes on the mountain.
