Gay travelers headed for Brussels are in for a treat, since this lively town has plenty to offer in the form of gay nightlife. From parties like La Démence to the gay bars located along the Rue du Marche au Charbon (or Kolenmarkt) next to the Grand Place, you are likely to find huge crowds over the weekend.
For those seeking some dancing, great music and plenty of hot, young men to look at, then Le Boys Boudoir is the place for you. This disco loving bar draws a young crowd, and is open all week until the late hours of the night. Bears may want to check out Le Baroque, the self-described preferred den for the Bear community. Non-bears are also welcome. For those that like a little cruising action, Stambar is where you want to be. Want to catch a drag show? Well, head on over to Chez Mann, where the bar gets packed from wall to wall. However, before you begin your night, get yourself over to Le Belgica, the busiest gay bar in Brussels and an institution to the gay scene.
La Demence, Brussels’ monthly infamous gay party has become one of the oldest and biggest gay parties in Europe for the past twenty seven years. People from all over Europe (and the world) travel to La Demence for a huge night of dancing and fun. Hosted every month at Fuse, it also offers iconic special three day events held on Easter, in November on the anniversary of the party, and on New Year’s Eve, a must for any gay clubber.
Other Gay Parties
But let’s not forget about the other parties around town. For anyone wanting to be around a mixed clientele, the Flash Tea Dance at the You Night Club is a definite choice. Revelation, hosted at Bazaar, is a fetish friendly gay party that features kinky dancers and guest DJ’s. Revelation is also held during La Démence weekends, so be sure to check out both if you get a chance.
