What makes Tel Aviv a favorite gay destination?

Obviously, the attractive men hanging around here, the warm weather, the beaches, the amazing food and the summertime feel. Everybody's drawn here and everybody carries a precious memory of Tel Aviv after leaving. 

What's the best gay event that takes place there?

Tel Aviv Pride, at the beginning of June, draws thousands of tourists and LGBT people from all over. You get the impression this is really the gayest place on Earth, a gay heaven. Who am I kidding... it actually is!

Which famous gay person is from your city?

Have you ever heard of Eliad Cohen? Of course you have!

Where to start a gay tour in your home city?

Dizengoff Street, it’s a very gay part of town. But make sure you explore it in full. Dive in the warm seawater while working on your tan. Make sure you look around; it’s a very rich region. If you’re here for longer than a few days, take a trip to the Dead Sea: it’s the lowest point on Earth from the sea level. It’s widely known for its healing powers.

And what's your favorite gay place to grab a bite for lunch or dinner?

My favourite is The Shpagat. You can go there to have some nice food or just for an exquisite cocktail. You’ll certainly be surrounded by nice human beings to look at or chat to.

A gay place for brunch on weekends?

Benedict restaurant. I’m honestly not sure if it’s gay-owned, but it’s definitely gay-friendly. They have an amazing concept, serving breakfast all day long, as it's the most important meal of the day here. And they have a very wide choice.

OK, we're ready to go dancing... what's the best gay dance club?

Haoman 17 club or The Block.

Best place to be surrounded by the local gays?

Hilton beach, the gay beach, or at any gym in town. Tel Aviv has such a powerful gay vibe you can’t deny or avoid to be pulled towards it. This city shines in rainbow colours everywhere! 

How gay-friendly is your city?

Very gay-friendly and chill. Until you’ve visited at least once, you don’t realize how good and liberating it feels. Plus, you'll be surrounded by gays, especially in parts of town like Dizengoff Street and Rothschild Boulevard.

Finally, what's gay life like in Tel Aviv?

Very vibrant, and the surroundings – the white sand beach, the sea, the warmth – just make it a very sexy place to live in.
