How gay-friendly is Sydney? 
Sydney siders have always been known for their laid back attitude with life, embracing ever culture, race & importantly your sexual orientation. Making all those who live and visit Sydney safe and belong to the community. 

What is gay life like in Sydney? 
After living overseas for a period of time, I have experienced a gay life culture, which I hope Sydney one day will have (again). As Sydney is growing gays are moving into the suburbs and with that taking away some of the glitz and - loosing a little bit of its identity. As we are very much a part of society we are accepted no matter where you live. In essence gay life is happy, relaxed and content.

What is the best gay event that takes place in Sydney? 
The event internationally recognized is of course the Mardi Gras parade, however some people may not be aware of the events which run at either side of the parade, Fair Day coming in second to the paraded. Other events such as IRH (I remember house) & Day Wash are two major dance parties which are not just run over Mardi Gras but throughout the year, generally held during long weekends. 

What is your favorite gay establishment to grab a bite for lunch? a nice dinner? 
Sydney is fast becoming a café society with lots of little cute coffee shops and eateries popping up. My favorite place to grab lunch is Ovo Brazilian Café on Oxford Street tucked away inside Oxford Square. It’s fresh, authentic & delicious. Some would argue the same applies to the staff, which serves your scrumptious meals.

Any café on/or around Oxford Street

Best gay bar for a cheap beer?
There are so many bars on Oxford Street to pick from, however the Shift Bar wins it for me

Best gay bar for a refreshing cocktail? 
Wine & cocktail bars are becoming the trend in Sydney and the Pocket Bar is cozy, the staff knows their drinks & how to serve it and the cocktails are great.

Ready to go dancing--what is the best gay dance club? 
Sorry to say but the dancing scene in Sydney is slowing down – however those clubs that remain are great. Stone Wall on Oxford street pulls in the crowds every week. Should that not be your thing Palms across the road is always pumping away. Followed by the Arq & The Midnight Shift bar.

Which gay bar offers the best happy hour on a Wednesday? 
The Stone Wall not only offers happy hour but also mid week events.

Best place to socialize with the local gay community?
The Beresford Bar every Sunday from 3pm is a great place to hang with the local community. This is now become a ritual whereby each Sunday the gays come together to finish off the weekend before heading back to work.
