Let's be real! You'll always have a reason to go to Tel Aviv. You may have been there or not, you'll have the need to go back. That doesn't mean you will not be surprised and you won't find something new. Just take a wrong turn, loose yourself, wander. Daniel and Asaf have been hosts in Tel Aviv for quite some time. Follow their suggestion and get lost in the Middle East gay capital. 

 

What makes your city a favorite gay destination?

The fact that 30% of the men in Tel-Aviv are gay. There is a friendly ambience everywhere and a lot of acceptance makes Tel-Aviv very gay friendly.  Sometimes it’s hard to find straight guys!

  

What is the best gay event that takes place in your city?

The gay parade in June - But there are parties every single day! 

  

What is your favorite gay establishment to grab a bite for lunch? a nice dinner?

In Tel-Aviv there are not many gay places as the gay community is integrated completely.  We always joke that Tel-Aviv is straight friendly :) And as the food here is really good there are plenty of places. One of our favorite places is called "Goocha" - a great sea food restaurant.

 

Best gay bar for a cheap beer?

Shpagat. They also have the most handsome bartenders as well.  

 

Best gay bar for a refreshing cocktail?

There are gay people in every cool place in Tel Aviv center, the best cocktail place called Imperial, they have amazing cocktails there. Another bar to check out is called Dreck

 

Which famous gay person is from your city?

Dana international - The first ever transgender to win the Eurovision and of course Eliad Cohen and Jonathan Agassi

  

Ready to go dancing--what is the best gay dance club?

Haoman - But It's better to follow the party lines and not stick to one club. 

 

Which gay bar offers the best happy hour on a Wednesday?

Shpagat 

 

Where to start a gay tour in your home city?

Our recommendation is to start with just wandering around the streets and boulevards in the Tel Aviv center to get the local vibe. Another great options is Tel Aviv gay beach 

 

Best place to socialize with the local gay community?

One and only Gay Hilton beach - no shirt is allowed :)

 

Best place to be surrounded by the local gays?

The local gay guys are everywhere, just put some shorts and a tin-top and you will find them sitting in one of the boulevards.  

  

A gay place for brunch on weekends?

Lieselotte, Joz Ve Loz  

 

What is gay life like in Tel Aviv?

Very colorful and cheerful. Almost every place is gay friendly.  

  

What are your favorite gay venues in Tel Aviv?

Sitting on Thursday night at the Shpagat bar on the street and mingle with the locals.
