Houston is a very diverse and friendly city. Unlike many Texas cities, Houston is rich in culture and full of entertainment for those that love the arts.

 

What is the best gay event that takes place in Houston?

One of the most popular gay events takes places in spring.  Each year Houston celebrates "Bunnies on the Bayou" where the LGBT communities come together to raise funds for various charities.  In doing so, the community socializes outdoors with cocktails, music, games and everybody has lots of fun.

  

What is your favorite gay establishment to grab a bite for lunch or a nice dinner?

One of the hot gay spots to grab a bite in Houston is Baby Barnaby’s. There, you can enjoy one of their rib-eye steaks, which is amazing, and at the same time you can enjoy plenty of eye-candy.

 

Best gay bar for a cheap beer?

If you are looking for a good cheap drinks, the Eagle of Houston is a nice hot spot and unlike any other Eagle in the US.

 

Best gay bar for a refreshing cocktail?

If you are looking for a good cocktail, you must step into the F-Bar.  You will find a diverse crowd and a friendly bar staff.

I am not sure if there are any famous gay people from Houston, but a person that every gay guy loves would be Beyoncé. She was born in Houston in 1981.

Wednesday night is generally a slow night in Houston, however you will find a nice happy hour in Guava Lamp.

 

Where to start a gay tour in Huston?

When in Houston and you are ready to have a good time, you must start your night off at JR’s. This is the initial jump of spot before heading to the dance floor.

I like the F-Bar on Sundays, they have a really nice patio with a DJ and an outdoor bar. The crowd is usually very mixed.

The most of the gay venues are located in Montrose/Midtown area.

  

How gay-friendly is Huston?

If you thought Houston wouldn’t be gay friendly, you would be wrong. People in Houston are very welcoming unlike in other southern cities. In fact, Houston previously made history by electing one of the first openly gay mayors.

  

A gay place for brunch on weekends?

The busiest place for brunch on Sunday is definitely Baba Yega Café in Montrose. It has mostly gay crowds on Sundays and they also serve a really good buffet.

  

What is gay life like in Huston?

The gay life in Houston is very similar to any other large city. The good thing is, that the most of the gay venues are in one suburb and you pretty much don’t need a car to go from one place to another. Generally Fridays and Saturdays tend to be the busiest nights, however Sunday – Funday is not too far behind. The drinks are much cheaper on Sundays and the bars are packed in the afternoon and evening.

  

What are your favourite gay venues in Huston?

My favourite bar is the F-Bar. I like that you can hang out with mates in the courtyard and then go inside for a quick dance. Another fun places would be The EagleJR’s or South Beach
