Yes you read it well ! From November 9 to 15, Conchita Wurst, the famous winner of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, will perform on the stage of one of the most famous Parisian cabarets, the Crazy Horse, next to the Champs Elysées.
She will sing several of her songs each evening, accompanied by the famous dancers of the Crazy Horse, all dressed in lights and air. The bearded lady succeeds to the many glamorous guest stars welcomed by the Crazy Horse before, like the model Noémie Lenoir, Dita Von Teese, singer Arielle Dombasle and actress Clotilde Courau.
On the occasion of this show, Tom Neuwirth, it's Conchita Wurst's real name, gave an interview to the Franch newspaper Le Parisien, where he engaged journalist Renaud Baronian about his plans and his future Parisian experience. When asked what the Crazy Horse represents for her, Conchita said:
"This is such an important venue, which revolves around notions of sensuality, love and art, a place that fits so well in Paris: for me, you can almost detach the idea of sexuality. But here, the team is well aware, this is not to say that a man or a transvestite will be dancing at the Crazy: I'm just a different kind of woman. The show will be choreographed by Blanca Li and costumes will be created by Jean Paul Gauthier, who became good friends with the Austrian star. The shoes will be created by Christian Louboutin and the official poster for the show will be designed by Pierre & Gilles. Regarding the playlist, Ms. Wurst said she will sing her hit Rise Like a phoenix and a brand new song.
Regarding a possible album, the singer says she had to postpone the project, because of this Parisian show among other reasons. However she reassured her fans: "The album is coming, it's important. I showed that I had a voice and that I could sing, I must now continue on an album. "
